Welcome to the club
I am so sorry you are now a member.
This childhood cancer “club” is something I would not wish on anyone!
I started my journey with childhood cancer in January of 2016 when my 10 month old baby boy, Hayes, was diagnosed with Choroid Plexus carcinoma, a rare form of brain cancer. It was such an isolating journey and one I had to learn to lean on others for help.
I know you don’t want to be here and I know you are heartbroken. I have been there. Still, I promise you that you’ll one day be proud of the journey you are on. You’ll celebrate and grieve alongside those who are a part of this same club, for you are now parents of a child with cancer.
You are never alone. You have an army behind you!
As a mother of a childhood cancer warrior, now angel, I am reaching out to you to let you know that you are not alone in your fight. I started the HayesTough Foundation in honor of my sweet baby. I made a promise to him that I would never forget what we went through and that I would fight for other families and children that are going through what we did.
XOXO – Savanna
